Happy Sunday all! I hope you all had fabulous weekends! Mine was full of interesting news and tidbits of my silly life.
First things first, food. On Friday I went on a date with Therapy guy again, but more about that later. The point of this part of my blog is that I ate Cambodian food for the very first time, and it was amazingly delicious. The soup we ordered was a hot and sour soup with prawns. They served this dish with steamed rice and you were to pour the rich fragrant broth over the rice. The soup was sweet and spicy at the same time with chunks of pineapple, tomato, cucumber and jalapeno. The sweet basil garnish added the perfect touch. The second dish we ordered was a spicy noodle special and was quite good. The waitress we had was amazing, helped us order the right things and even offered hot tea to go on such a cold night. I highly recommend this place because I ended up paying and we had three menu items, shared everything and had plenty to go for under 30. Siem Reap in Long Beach. Run there for an amazing meal.
So in other news on the dieting front I was able to maintain portion control on my date and on saturday through a shopping excursion and going out drinking. The drinking part of yesterday, however, turned out to be my downfall. I saved enough points to have up to 6 cocktails. Well that was a huge mistake. I was toasted off two drinks then proceeded to have 3 more, but one was on accident and completely not my fault. I am just too popular with bartenders for my own good and got served some very strong drinks. But when I weighed in today I was 177.7 pounds! Total loss so far of 10.3 pounds!!!! woohoo only 17 more to go ladies! Go me!
Oh alright I know the juicy details of my dating life would please you more so here ya go. So date #2 with Therapy guy was different...first a walk with wine, at signal hill. I was in heels so it wasn't the smartest idea but he thought I would like the surprise. Next dinner, he conveniently forgot his wallet in the car. Weird you ask? Yes super weird. Then, I am ashamed to admit, I could not drive home yet I was still tipsy from the wine, so he invited to watch a movie at his house. Normally I would say no, but I needed to sober up. But I assume again, and he does not have a couch, no no we have to watch the movie in his bed. Long story short I finally left because he was getting a little to aggressive with me.
So, Saturday I am feeling a little frisky and I like a drunk school girl think its ok to text my ex, while he is tending bar while i am there, that I would love to go home with him. Thank god he said no! Oh then I also had to text the guy with 3 dogs, we shall call him 3 dog night. I told him I was falling for him and that I needed to know how he felt about me etc. ugh. The text I got back this morning, I just don't know.
But I did have an amazing date with my south african sweetie today. Let's just say it was lunch and a rocking good time in a parking structure.
Now girls, I know what you are thinking. You are thinking Emily, what are you doing seeing this many guys and do you have feelings? do you care? The answer to this is I have no idea and yes I care. 3 dog night is perfect...on paper. I have no idea how he feels about me and i refuse to get hurt. That's why I hide behind other guys. Same with South African guy, he is amazing but the smoking does irritate and well he is from south africa. Who knows if I will ever see him again after April 11th when he goes home. I already miss his arms around me....so sappy I know.
So I survived the weekend, with a few scratches and a bruise, but I am alive and happy! Did you survive? Love you all.
